Rock Band Network: Bands machen ihre Songs selbst spieletauglich

Viele Rock-Band-Fans äußern ihre Wünsche, welche Songs ihrer Lieblingsband ins Spiel integriert werden sollen - und Entwickler Harmonix kommt mit dem Basteln der Tracks gar nicht mehr hinterher.

Mit einem neuen Tool sollen Bands nun Rock-Band-Tracks selbst erstellen können. Die Songs werden dann im Rock Band Network hochgeladen und vor der Veröffentlichung getestet. Andere Entwickler spielen dabei die Songs Probe, damit diese auch in jedem Schwierigkeitsgrad gut zu spielen sind. Außerdem werden Copyright-Verletzungen und die Texte auf "böse" Ausdrücke kontrolliert.

Danach kann der Künstler festlegen, zu welchem Preis das Lied als Download angeboten wird. Die Preise liegen zwischen 50 Cent und 3 US-Dollar. Voerst wird es diese Option nur für die Xbox 360 geben. Ob die Tracks auch auf PS3 und Wii angeboten werden, steht noch nicht fest.

Auf Xbox 360 wurde das Rock Band Network nun eröffnet. Und es ist bereits sehr gut gefüllt. Folgende Songs sind erhältlich:
